Adverse Weather Update & Policy

Current Status as at 13 January 2010, 7.30pm
We had snow in Bath last night but it is very wet and appears to now be melting. Main roads have been open all day and trains in and out of Bath are running. Buses were running from mid-morning today. As the weather is predicted to be warmer tomorrow we are not anticipating any disruption to either our bread class tomorrow or the classes on Friday and Saturday.

Adverse weather policy
As stated in our Terms and Conditions, we are not able to offer refunds or late notice amendments to classes where customers are unable to reach us due to adverse weather conditions. You may be able to claim on any travel insurance policies you have or took out to cover your trip to us.
You should take your own decisions as to whether it is safe to travel to us in Bath. We do not encourage anyone to take any risks.
In the event that you are unable to reach us you may send someone else in your place. Please telephone us to let us know if this is the case.
We understand that, where adverse weather conditions are concerned, it is not your fault that you are not able to reach us. Please understand that it is also not our fault. We have to go ahead and run our classes where even just one person is able to make it to the kitchen.
If you are unable to attend a class please let us know as soon as you can. As a goodwill gesture we will try and offer customers an alternative class at a later date. This will be entirely at our discretion and may not be for the same class that you were originally booked for or for the same day of the week. It may also be at short notice.

Programme problem now fixed

Some customers are currently having a problem viewing our programme online. The problem only affects customers running v.6 of Microsoft Internet Explorer. We are working on resolving the problem at the moment however you may be able to gain access to our site by updating your copy of Explorer to a more recent version or using an alternative browser eg. Safari or Firefox. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. In the meantime if you would like details of classes please call us and we will send you information by email or provide it over the telephone.

Weather update

Some areas of the country are predicted to experience snowfall and other cold weather conditions over the next few days. However, all classes at the kitchen are running as scheduled. Any changes will be posted here.

Christmas Opening

The office will close for Chrismtas at 5pm on Wednesday 23rd December and will re-open at 10am on Monday 4th January 2010. All orders for goods placed after 5pm on 22 December will be despatched when we re-open in the new year. All emails and telephone messages will be responded to as soon as we re-open.
Do remember that bookings and orders can be placed online at anytime and all gift vouchers and class vouchers are always despatched immediately by email. All gift vouchers (with a 13 digit code) purchased from The Bertinet Kitchen can also be redeemed online for classes or goods. Vouchers from Buy a Gift, Into the Blue and Red Letter Days may only be redeemed by telephone.
The kitchen & bakery are now closed for Christmas. The kitchen re-opens for our first class on Thursday 7th January and the Bakery re-opens on Saturday 9th January at 8.30am.
