Come and join us for a day of cooking together with Richard Bertinet. Definitely not exclusive to couples, come with friends, family or by yourself to enjoy a day of cooking and eating.
On this very special daytime Chef’s Table, focussing on ingredients, skills and preparation techniques, you will spend the time cooking together before sitting down to enjoy a spectacular late lunch in our Kitchen.
With a nod to Valentine’s day you will start the day with some bread making skills and learn how to make heart shaped fougasse stuffed with olives. This will be followed by making your own blinis, a very useful recipe to have in your repertoire, that will be topped with smoked salmon. The main course will be a lamb rack, cut into individual portions, each topped with a stilton mousse and finished in the oven. This will be served with a delicious rich sauce.
To finish you will be making a fabulous pistachio soufflé which will take your dessert making to new heights along with some vanilla ice cream, a dish that would elevate your pudding courses to a new level.
Your meal will be accompanied by a flight of wine, expertly chosen to compliment the menu and include tasting notes along with full recipes so that you can recreate the dishes at home.
You’ll come away having learnt lots of new skills to add to your cooking repertoire, as well as a very enjoyable day. It promises to be a meal to remember!
The day will start at 10am with breakfast and finish around 3.30 / 4pm.
