Taught exclusively by Richard Bertinet our one day English Baking class is suitable for those who would like to develop their baking skills, focussing on traditional classics and Richard’s take on his favourite British specialities.
Before the rise of the white sliced loaf, England was a country of craft bakers producing national and regional speciality products by hand. Learn to make some of these classics including English muffins, crumpets, Bath buns, a classic cottage loaf, soft white rolls and scones. There will be plenty of hands on time to practice what you are learning.
At the end of the baking you will all sit down to enjoy a late lunch with a well-deserved glass of wine and a chance to ask Richard any questions.
Please bring a bag with you so that you can take home some of your delicious creations.
