We are delighted to welcome the hugely popular Great British Bake Off winner of 2021 Giuseppe Dell’Anno back to the Kitchen.
Following his extremely successful first cook book ‘Giuseppe’s Italian Bakes’ this class will focus on much loved classic Italian recipes for summer passed down to Giuseppe by his beloved father.
You will be baking with Giuseppe his fruit tart, Crostata di Frutta, a delicate pastry tart filled with vanilla pastry cream with a hint of orange and topped with an impressive crown of fruit. You will also make deliziosa, crumbly, buttery cookies with a luscious ricotta filling, some apricot and coconut macaroons and finally fig and orange muffins, all perfect bakes for summer.
Giuseppe’s passion for Italian baking was nurtured at the side of his professional chef and baker father. Growing up, baking and cooking were part of the daily language of his household. Having trained as a chemical engineer, he originally returned to baking when his own children were born, keen to reproduce the treats of his own childhood. He never dreamt that he would make it as a contestant on Bake Off, let alone be crowned the winner.
