Easter is a wonderful time to be in the Kitchen baking and this year we are treating you to some very traditional skills. Start with that Easter essential, hot cross buns where you will be working all the stages, from preparing the dough to making the paste for the crosses on the buns. You will also be making some traditional Simnel tarts with a pastry base, crème d’amande and jam filling and a marzipan decoration. Giving a Simnel tart at Easter symbolises loyalty and friendship, the perfect gift. You will finish with some spiced Easter biscuits.
Please bring a bag and/or a large container with you so that you can take home some of your delicious creations.
This class runs from 10am to 12pm and is suitable for ages 8 – 16. Please let us know the age of your child when booking.
