North African dishes are big on flavour, aroma and spice. It has a rich heritage of influences from many cultures including Arab, Berber and Mediterranean cuisines. This melting pot makes Moroccan ingredients some of the most delicious and adventurous to cook with.
You will be making a chicken, olive and preserved lemon tagine. Traditionally this dish is made in an earthenware pot, we will adapt the recipe so you can make it at home. To eat with your tagine you will make an carrot and orange salad, delicately flavoured with seeds and spices, and a herbed couscous. Finally you will make M’hanncha with a date sauce, a speciality Moroccan spiralled almond pastry.
Please bring a bag and/or a large container with you so that you can take home some of your delicious creations.
This class runs from 10am to 12pm and is suitable for ages 8 – 15. Please let us know the age of your child when booking.
