Patisserie is an artform that has been cultivated for centuries and requires years of practice to master. In fact, for an establishment in France, Italy or Belgium to use the term ‘patisserie’, there needs to be an employed pâtissier who will undertake around a year of schooling, followed by a lengthy apprenticeship and a written exam to gain the title. You may not want to become a professional patisserie maker, but there is no better place for a junior foodie to start their patisserie journey than on this class.
On this class, you will make mille-feuille (meaning a thousand leaves), exquisitely light puff pastry with a delicious layer of crème patissière, croustillant and madeleines dipped in chocolate. We will show you the skills needed to make a whole range of delightful treats for you to explore the world of sweetness patisserie has to offer.
Please bring a bag and/or a large container with you so that you can take home some of your delicious creations.
This class runs from 10am to 12pm and is suitable for children aged 8 – 15. Please let us know the name and age of your child when booking.
