Richard Davies is Executive chef of Calcot Manor where he aims to develop classically inspired but fuss free menus. Simple, seasonal inventive cooking will be the order of the day – perfectly prepared but without unnecessary embellishment. Richard has worked at three Michelin starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea and at two Michelin starred The Vineyard at Stockcross in Newbury. He earned his first Michelin star at Sawyards Restaurant in Storrington and was executive chef of The Manor House hotel in Castle Combe for 8 years, earning a Michelin star there. More recently he has launched Celtic Manor resort’s Epicure restaurant.
