Patisserie is an artform that has been cultivated for centuries and requires years of practice to master. You may not want to become a professional patisserie maker, but there is no better place for a junior foodie to start their patisserie journey than on this class.
Making the most of the wonderful fruits this season has to offer, you will start by making a strawberry tart which will have a pastry base, filled with crème pâtissière and decorated with strawberries. You will then be making some strawberry and lime friands, delicious bites of happiness and a very adaptable recipe to add to your skills. Finally you will master the skill of making some macarons, delightful discs whipped to perfection to be light and delicate and filled with a delicate seasonal fruit jam.
We will show you the skills needed to make a whole range of these delightful treats for you to explore the world of sweetness patisserie has to offer.
Please bring a bag and/or a large container with you so that you can take home some of your delicious creations.
This class runs from 10am to 12pm and is suitable for ages 8 – 16. Please let us know the age of your child when booking.
